It's Official - Schwarzenegger Will Veto Same-Sex Marriage AGAIN PDF  | Print |  EMail

ImageEven though California's lawmaking body - you know, those people who are elected to craft and change laws in a representative democracy - have made history TWICE by passing a same-sex marriage bill without any court intervention, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced today that he will veto the legislation. Again.

Thanks a lot, Arnold.

His half-baked excuse is that the bill goes against the intent of voter-approved Proposition 22, which courts have ruled negates same-sex marriages only in other states.

We don't know about you, but for us it's frustrating to have just one man stand between all gays and lesbians in California and equal marriage rights.
