He’s back, boys!
The number of letters and emails we received for J.P.’s February 2007 coming out story was insane. In fact, we got two letters in the office this morning!
Over the last year or so, J.P. and I have had several conversations about him returning to our cover, to tell his fans and supporters about his life one year later. Well, this March that’s exactly what we do!
In our exclusive one-year later interview, reacquaint yourself with J.P. Calderon and learn what he’s been up to over the last year. We’ve also got 8 pages of exclusive photos shot by Peter Brown, the same brilliant man who shot J.P. for his coming out cover in February 2007.

Here, check out an exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek of our March 2008 cover shoot, plus some words from J.P. to his fans:

I loooooooooooooooooove JP! Ever since Survivor and Janice, he is the sexiest man in Janice's Modeling Agency. In the meantime until I meet him and give him a hug and a handshake, I guess I'll continue to watch him on Janice and review his pics in Instinct magazine. There should be a contest to meet him...I'll even play Survivor to compete.

Mr. Calderon
I write you the following for no other reason but to try and explain exactly what emotions your story brought to me personally! My name is Cathal I am gay,I come from the West of IRELAND.. a somewhat rural place.. and at 24 years of age i was still livng as a straight man to some of the people closest to me. The reason for this was my parents are very much from an older generation and i know they would not have approved as I've heard them voice their opinions on homosexuality many times. Im not being big headed but im a fairly goodlooking fella and when approaced by girls i have always had to play along so i didnt raise any question about my sexuality to by parents... the solution sounds simple..move away.. but my mom wouldnt of coped and id be leaving so much else behind. That night when i watched you on JDMA as she more or less asked you if you were gay, your facial reaction hit me as if god droped his hand from the heavens and slapped me across the face... because that was me so many times but unfortunately my reply was not.... until that moment... I turned to my parents and 3 older brothers and said... guys love me or loate me but I too am Gay!!! My father and a brother chose to loate me but I am 100% happier and more productive in my everyday life now and no longer battling with myself! The fact that my father and i are distant now doesent upset me, I'm my own man and accept his decision! It was thru the relating to the pain i saw in your face and your courage thereafter that i found the bravery to do it J.P and give many thanks... I am also so happy that you have found your place in life and wish you the best of luck and the world of happiness in the future...
Yours,
Cathal Feeney cathalfeeney07@gmail.com
