I, for one, love the fact that former US figure skating champion Johnny Weir is so flamboyant. As Christian from Project Runway might say: "He's a fierce tranny and he's not apologizing for it!"
But I *don't* like how he's been so cagey about his sexuality. It's his decision, but I wish he would just come-the-f**k-out of the closet (if, in fact, he is gay). And, if so, he's just perpetuating the sterotype that being gay is something to hide. And REALLY not doing a very good job.
Dlisted gives a nod to the New York Times, which interviewed both Weir and his totally bro, hetero, X-games-wannabe rival, Evan Lysacek, who "would rather skate in sweat pants." (They got exactly the same score at the most recent US championship.) And when Weir was apparently asked the big question:
“There are some things I keep sacred,” Weir said. “My middle name. Who I sleep with. And what kind of hand moisturizer I use.”
Wink-wink, nudge-nudge. It's a hilarious story; I think Lysacek and Weir should just consummate their relationship in a fit of wild locker-room abandon. My bet's on Lysacek on top; but Johnny seems like he'd be pretty bossy!

Really Johnny? Everyone knows you're as gay as the rest of us. Just do it already.
