I kinda, sorta forgot that Lindsay Lohan is an actress. As in, she derives her livelihood from portraying characters in film roles. Who woulda thought! Seems like all she does is appear on US Weekly covers. And strange advertisements that insinuate drunk driving.
Well, Defamer reports that LiLo is "in advanced talks" to join the season finale of Ugly Betty, playing a fast food worker who becomes friends with Betty. And the Telegraph says she's going to appear in at least five more episodes next season. But Defamer also digs up another guest star on the same episode:
Yes, according to Showbiz Spy, none other than cell phone thrower and luggage assaultress Naomi Campbell is confirmed to guest star
in the season finale as well. While we doubt Campbell would lower
herself to playing any kind of burger flipper, the two lawbreakers will
presumably come into contact at some point during filming.
Whatever happens, sounds fun. My theory that Ugly Betty is the gayest show on TV (besides Project Runway) proves solid, with the appearance of la diva Campbell and la drink-a Lohan, thank you. Oh, and la diva Christian.

How did I not know about this internet series about a planet full of unicorns wished into existence by an eight-year-old gay boy in the year 2117?
Feathers, Cadillac, and Tom Cruise! I can't decide if this is offensively stereotypical or hilarious... or both? And what's the deal with the internet unicorn trend?

Someone I've just never understood, pictured here with actress Hanna Waddingham:
WOWReport asks: Which is which? I concur. Perhaps it's an elaborate siwtcheroo. I find him alternately scary and fascinating... He's like a hiccup of nature. A hiccup who seems like he's put on some weight.

Well, kinda. The gay blogosphere (and, I think many gays in general) are buzzing about the cover story of the New York Times Magazine this past weekend. The author explores the curious social phenomenon of mid-20s gay men in Massachusetts who are doing something never before possible in this country: getting married.
It's a really interesting sociological commentary, I think. Of course gay guys have been shacking up together for a very long time. But what happens when the official labal "married" is applied to a gay relationship for the first time in the US?:
“We know we’re compatible,” Marc said.
“We’ve thought a lot about household roles. I’m going to clean, and
Vassili is going to cook.”
“I like doing laundry and ironing,” Vassili told me. “He likes yardwork.”
“I don’t think either one of us is really going to be the wife, per se,” Marc said.
Hmmm... if that's marriage, I'm not sure I want me some. But more power to them! Of course, the author kinda glosses over how bourgie the whole process turns out to be...and how little diversity there seems to be in the couples who do decide to marry...but it's a start, right?
Oh, and those remarkable photos by Erwin Olaf -- I love how tongue-in-cheek they are, but I wonder if Marc and Vassili appreciate the Stepford-y irony?
Are we going to start having a ton of gay divorces when these guys who've rushed into marriage start realizing it's harder than they might have thought?
