This February 17-18-19 in Long Beach, the world premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon's award-winning (and heartbreaking) Orpheus & Euridice occurs.

I'll be there Sunday night, and I urge you to come out and watch the opera while it's playing. If you're there on Sunday night, say hi!

It's a multimedia experience and will be staged in and around an Olympic swimming pool, which will stand in for the Earth, the River Styx and the Underworld. The opera is a personal retelling of the famous Greek myth, a mythological way for composer/librettist Ricky Ian Gordon to describe losing his longtime partner to AIDS.

It's powerful, beautiful stuff, and I urge you to go.

I know, I know -- who cares about Indiana Jones?

Well, I do!

Sure, Harrison is too old, and the whole thing is too corny...but I guarantee, as you watch the trailer below, you'll feel like a kid again. It's just something about the ridiculuousness of it all -- as well as that great music.

Oh, and LOVING Cate Blanchett as a vampy-military-dominatrix. HOT!

One day recently, I vegged out on the couch and sat watching YouTube videos for, oh, five hours till I was zombiecorpse.

In the process, I discovered Matty G The Musician, who's a one man band. Matt G rocks out on guitar, keyboard and drums (all at the same time!) and covers pop songs new and old.

Also, congrats to Matty, who apparently got noticed by America's Got Talent producers after his rendition of Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss," and was called in to audition for the TV reality show's next season.
