Organizers estimate that over 700,000 people showed up to march in the streets during Paris gay pride this past weekend. We wish we were there -- seems like everything hot is coming out of Paris these days: music, movies, and of course, French men! Photos courtesy of our friends at ohlalablog.com:

Page Six is reporting that Britney Spears has been disinvited from performing on the L.A. stop of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors tour at the Greek Theatre this weekend:
Spears' choreographer, Misha Gabriel, told People magazine she would hit the stage with Lauper, Rosie O'Donnell, Erasure, Debbie Harry
and The MisShapes. But a source told Page Six, "There's no way. Britney
said she would only dance or lip-sync - and to be on stage with Cyndi,
you have to actually perform. It's not happening now."
Ah, there's the sound of Cyndi Lauper's whip, cracking. Ouch!
ALSO: The iPhone is coming! Today at 6 p.m.! Even though reviews say the AT&T data network sucks, there's no instant messaging, you can't download extra ringtones, there's no voice-dial, and it's pretty darn expensive... we still want one. (Know anyone at Apple? Steve Jobs announced yesterday that anyone who has worked at Apple for more than a year will get one for free.)
UPDATE!!: Our friends at ChartRigger clear up the Britney rumors. Here's Cyndi, taken from her blog:
"...Which made me look at a page six article
written about Britney Spears and me and the tour. So the real story is:
Britney was invited to perform in Las Vegas with us. No one
representing Britney ever responded. But here is the deal, Britt?? If
ya hear this; you are welcome to come to the Greek. This is a good
cause and I am grateful that the spirit moved ya doll. And if ya are
coming, can you contact us..???? Though I don’t know you, you seem like
a good kid. You are welcome. X Cyn"
Somehow it all still smells like a PR ploy and cover up to us... but at least True Colors will be Britney-vag free!

While there's still no cure for HIV, scientists have made a huge leap forward in the field. German scientists have found a way to remove the virus from infected cells, but the enzyme they've been using is a long way from being safe to use on people. Add to that the very nature of HIV itself--bonding with the host's cells to a point where it's almost impossible to remove--and you still have a very complex problem. So while this breakthough is no magic bullet, it's definitely an exciting development, one that could help with the problem of the virus that has infected over 40 million men, women and children infected worldwide.
What's your opinion? Do you think a cure will be found in our lifetime? I definitely hope so.
