If you haven't heard about this already, please take the time to listen to Oklahoma Representative Sally Kern's ludicrously bigoted, hateful, incendiary remarks about the LGBT community (and casual, offhand hateful remarks about Muslims, too!) Apparently, the "homosexual agenda" is a bigger threat to our country than terrorism. It's astounding.

The HRC has a page where you can voice your outrage. If you live in Oklahoma, PFLAG is scheduling a demonstration at noon on Tuesday March 18 at the state capitol rotunda.

Thank you! Thank you for posting this video! Almost a million people have seen it, but that's not enough. Bigots like this have no place in American politics. I first saw the video earlier in the week and posted it on my blog (Begging4Attention.blogspot.com). Unfortunately, too many people agree with what Ms. Kern said in her video. Even if there were only one person agreeing with her, it would be too many.

I hate ignorant people. I can't believe those words came out of her mouth! I first heard about this on Ellen and then again here. It pisses me off that there are people in this world who think like her!

We need this sort of information to get passed so those who have chosen to sit back complaciant about the issues will realise with this type of hate they can't just sit back and do nothing any more!

This is one of the reasons why we have a high youth suicide rate. Some people in the political offices elected by us, tend to use their positions for personal reasons and to keep the hate cycle going. Never mind that they don't have the perfect moral fiber that every other American has and never mind that God said "Love one another as I have loved you".
I don't understand why she feels compelled to share this with the public. Maybe she really dislikes herself, or perhaps she was shunned by a gay person, who really knows, but she doesn't seem to accept herself, and doesn't see the beauty in other women because that might be "gay"
If we don't stand up for ourselves, who will?? People in glass houses should not throw stones!!!P
Perhaps people will realize that this is one of the reasons that we need to be more understanding of one another. We never know when disaster will strike. We only have one life, why not enjoy, respect and love one another. I'm not bothering anyone and if I should, I would think that they would tell me so.!!!
