Yesterday, Florida state Representative Bob Allen was arrested after asking a cop if he could pay to perform oral sex on him in a public restroom at a park in central Florida:
Investigators said Allen was acting suspicious and went in and out of
the men's restroom at Veteran's Memorial Park, located on East Broad
Street.
Minutes later, authorities said, Allen solicited the male officer inside the restroom, offering to perform oral sex for $20.
Allen was the author of the "Lewd and Lascivious Behavior Act," which would have prohibited public masturbation in the presence of another adult, whether or not that adult consented. (It failed.)
He is also the co-chair of John McCain's Florida presidential campaign. He is married, and has a daughter.
This is on the heels of Louisiana Senator David Vitter's recent exposure by the so-called D.C. Madame, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, as a past client. Vitter -- of course -- is a staunch moralist in D.C., who has campaigned heavily under the banner of "family values": anti-same-sex marriage, anti-abortion, anti-immigration reform. Since the story broke, a New Orleans madame has also confirmed that Vitter -- who is married -- was a client. But his quote from a letter written to a New Orleans paper last year says it best:
“I’m a conservative who opposes radically redefining marriage, the most important social institution in human history.”
Ah, yes. Marriage. What exactly did that stand for again?

Everyone is to be presumed innocent until a jury of his/her piers, in a proper court of law, states that it is proven that the person is guilty. When someone pleads guilty in a proper court of law then the record of the charges so states that the person pleaded guilty. Therefore that person is guilty in the eyes of the law or in the eyes of his/her piers in a court of law.
But, then to come out in the news media and say that he/she is innocent a week or so later is about the dumbest thing anyone can do. He, being a Florida Representative, should have kept his mouth quiet/shut and sought the advice of an attorney from the moment he was arrested by the police officer. And then kept his statements to himself and should have followed his attorney's advice.
How can anyone really believe the Florida Representative, now????? I do not know Florida Representative Bob Allen, but I certainly would not vote for him in the next Florida Representative Election; flip - flopper!!
