Indie pop singer / songwriter Hayley Kiyoko has released the music video for her new single "One Bad Night," which she also wrote and directed. The powerful video stars trans activist and content creator Erin Armstrong. Both the song and the video are strong and powerful. My first time watching the video, I forgot there was a song. Needless to say, I had to go back and listen to the song the second viewing.
Here's also a behind the scenes video of "One Bad Night" told through the eyes of Erin (aka Grishno), who plays Amber in the video.
Erin (AKA Grishno) was the first transgender person to document her transition on YouTube, and manages the longest running YouTube channel focused on Transgender issues.
Originally born and raised in Utah, Erin Armstrong transitioned from male to female and moved to New York City at the age of 20. While in NYC she began doing online advocacy for the transgender community via youtube, and has had her work featured in Rolling Stone Magazine and The Advocate.
Her video channel now boasts more than 10,000 subscribers, and has documented her transition for over 7 years. With over 5,000,000 views, Erin has been able to reach a world wide audience, to help support other transgender people, and education non-trans folk about the issues facing the transgender community. – youtube.com

"One Bad Night" is off of Hayley's CITRINE EP, which is available now. CITRINE – which takes its name from the amber gemstone known in crystal work for its powerful healing energies – includes the hit song, "Gravel To Tempo."
Thanks Hayley and Erin for sharing this with us. I'm going to go listen and watch again.
