A classic gay film is getting a sequel.

Trick was a 1999 film following a night of romance between office temp/aspiring musical composer Gabriel and go-go dancer Mark. The movie shows the two going through a series of misadventures as they try (and fail) to find a place to connect physically and then subsequently connect emotionally.

Now according to Hornet, a sequel to this film is in the works.

Writer/Director Jim Fall has announced that he’s written a script for the upcoming film, which will be based in Los Angeles and have drag queen Coco Peru (who appeared in the original) in the movie.

Fall made this announcement through a non-public Facebook post on Thursday, and says the film should be out in 2019. This will be just in time for the 20th anniversary of the original film.

Any more details about the story are currently unknown, but the fact that Coco Peru will be appearing and that the story be located in Los Angeles give us some clues.

Perhaps the famed comedian will have another starring cameo such as the last movie where she acted as a foil towards the romance of Gabriel and Mark. That said, the inclusion of Coco Peru doesn’t confirm whether the story of Gabriel and Mark will be continued in this second film or not.

We’ll find out in 2019.
