This is a story of self-love and self-acceptance and letting go of worry and self-doubt. This is the story of DJ Qualls.

DJ Qualls is an actor with many credits to his name. The Tennessee-born actor has appeared in a series of projects like Z Nation the tv series, Supernatural, The Man in the High Castle, Fargo, Family Guy, American dad, Hawaii Five-0, The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, Scrubs, and so much more. But in all that time that he’s been working on several shows and several production sets, DJ Qualls has been silently struggling with his sexuality. And specifically, struggling with the fact that he was scared of it becoming public knowledge.

But now, the actor shares that he is tired of worry about what being openly gay will do to his career and social life. As such, he decided to come out last night, January 10th, while on the Jim Jefferies Show in San Diego.

As he announced on Twitter, “It is 11:20pm. I just came out on stage at a @jimjefferies show in San Diego. Yep, I’m gay. Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career.”
