I do not think anyone was able to not be moved by the picture of Omran Daqneesh as he sat in an ambulance in Syria, just minutes after his home was bombed during the Syrian civil war. I still get teary eyes when I see this footage.
But what can we do? What could we do? As we twiddle our thumbs, Alex apparently had an idea.
Alex is six years old. After seeing a distressing photo of a young boy in Syria, Alex wrote a letter asking President Obama to help bring that boy to America so he could be part of Alex's family. Learn more: www.whitehouse.gov/refugees – youtub.com
As this story, letter, video, goes viral, just like the first video shared here, there are a lot of feels out there. It is good to feel. It is good to have hope. But it is also good to take action and make a difference. Alex, it looks like you are showing the grown ups how to take action.
Of course a video like this will not end the war in Syria. There's a lot more that needs to be done before that can happen.

The world would be a more blessed place with more people like Alex. The picture of Omran has haunted me since I first saw it . He & all the other innocent children are in my prayers.
What a wonderful boy – his
What a wonderful boy – his parents must be very proud. Wishing that a lot more people would emulate this boy.
