We've had several personal friends and stars recently that have been diagnosed with skin cancer ( Do Men Suck At Preventing Skin Cancer? Now here's another friend and star and self proclaimed "tanorexic" that has come forward with his diagnosis
Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen didn’t think much of a small black spot he had on his bottom lip earlier this year.
But his friend, fellow television host Kelly Ripa, was alarmed by it.
And with good reason.
It turns out the abnormal spot was a melanoma and that Cohen had skin cancer.
‘I have to shout you out for something that you don’t know I’m going to shout you out for,’ Cohen told Ripa Friday (25 November) while co-hosting her show Live With Kelly.
Cohen, 49, initially blew off the spot but Ripa and her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, demanded Cohen get it checked by a doctor.
He did eventually and it was removed.
‘I just want to thank you because you were so dogmatic,’ Cohen told Ripa. ‘And it’s all fine.’
Cohen admits: ‘I am tanorexic. I love the sun, I really do, but be careful. And I, of course, never thought that that kind of thing would happen to me and it will change my relationship to the sun.’ – gaystarnews.com
