Bette Midler Set to Perform at WE Pride in New York City

Bette Midler is set to appear at WorldPride in New York City at the WE Pride The Main Event, Saturday, June 29th at the Jacob K. Javits Center. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, Midler will perform a song accompanied by composer Marc Shaiman of Hairspray and Mary Poppins Returns fame.

In addition to Midler, Cyndi Lauper an Beyonce’s choreographer Chris Grant will perform as well, with a theatrical performance celebrating STOMP taking place as well. DJs for the night include Paulo (USA), Binomio (Spain) and Dani Brasil (Brazil).

Proceeds from the night will benefit The Trevor Project, The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative and LifeBeat.

WE Pride The Main Event is being presented by event producer Jake Resnicow who said: “The 50th anniversary of Stonewall will bring millions of people from all over the world to New York this Pride. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our progress while working towards a better future. It will allow everyone to come together on one dance floor, in the city that started it all.”

Midler is scheduled to to perform at 11:00 pm.
