Vice-President Mike Pence visited and spoke at a Memphis, Tennessee church on Sunday, January 21 where the ministers preached about homosexuality as a product of Satan. The church, Holy City Church of God in Christ, also received a wider audience thanks to the sermon being streamed live on the official White House YouTube channel.
According to NBC News, after Pence spoke to the congregation about standing up for “the values that you hold dear,” Bishop Jerry Wayne exhorted about the “demonic” lifestyle of homosexuality. Taylor also made the incorrect assertion that homosexuality only occurs among humans.
“You never see two male animals coming together,” he said. “We’ve got to expose what the devil is doing.”
