Celebrity Big Brother Names A Winner!

Which LGBTQ Icon Took The Crown?!

Ahh! Okay, so we’ve been put through the ringer over the last month with CBS’ Celebrity Big Brother, the first Celebrity version to hit the United States. We witnessed a really random group of celebrities enter – some of whom we may not have known before. The headliner, obviously, was Omarosa Manigault, fresh off of a dramatic exit from The White House. Manigault brought the zest to the show and had us all tuning in time and time again as she spilled some juice on the current Trump Administration. She confirmed all of our fears – to be scared as hell! But, alas, of course Manigault wasn’t going to walk away with the crown. Like, society seriously couldn’t handle that. However, as of today, there is finally a winner of Celebrity Big Brother!

Let me catch you up the speed. The finale starred Musician – with heavy filler – Mark McGrath and Model, Adriadna Gutierrez. Nevertheless, they really don’t matter as they placed fourth and third, respectively. The above mentioned Manigault was the first to go on finale night, being sent packing in fifth place. So, that left us with mega-gay-favorite, Ross Mathews and Marissa Jaret Winokur, who is known for Broadway performances including the unbeatable Hairspray, but let’s be honest – we all had a best friend – or a Fag Hag – like Winokur in High School. Although Mathews played the most incredible game, he upset too many of his competing cast members. Winokur walked away the winner in a vote of 6-3! Winokur had an emotional reunion with her son and celebrated her victory as a Big Brother super fan. It was a satisfying ending to a really fun season.

Don’t feel too bad for Mathews, he walked away with the prize of America’s Favorite Player, leaving with a total of $75k for his time playing the game.

I really hope we can look forward to seeing another Celebrity edition of Big Brother in the future! Until then, we’ll have to hold out for traditional Big Brother which hits this summer!

DC…what do you mean?! Everyone is an icon nowadays, just like everyone gets a trophy! We don't want any hurt feelings now, do we?

  2. Icon ???    That’s generous.

Icon ???    That's generous.   Ross played well… and represented the LGBTQ community well.  However, calling him an icon is a bit generous.
