Becky McCabe had everything all planned for her proposal to girlfriend Jessa Gillaspie: visit a favorite place (Memphis Zoo), pose for a pic, drop to one knee and pop the question.
But when the moment came, a very surprised Gillaspie screamed and had to take a step back as she began to search through her purse.
“What are you doing?” the person taking their photo asked.
Gillaspie then pulled out a ring of her own, showing McCabe had her own plan to propose as well.
“I guess that’s a yes!” McCabe exclaimed.
They basically proposed to each other at the same time!
The cell phone video of the dual proposals has gone viral with tons of folks, including Good Morning America, picking up the charming story.
The happy couple wants the whole world to know how much they love each other and they appreciate the outpouring of support.
“We had no idea this would blow up so quickly!” Gillaspie shared via Facebook. “But I can’t say I’m not thrilled, because all I’ve ever wanted was for Beck and the world to know how much l love her. We are overwhelmed with all of the positive responses. Really, you guys have no idea how much that means to us!”
