Droning Provincetown seems to be a legal thing and we're loving it. I've been sitting at home here in Florida watching my Facebook explode with friends having the time of their lives in P-Town, like they always do. It's Carnival this week and if you can't be there, it looks like you're missing out.
Thursday is always parade day and we have Droning Provincetown to thank for this video of the festivities.
We can't wait to see what will happen on Friday! Carnival dates this year were August 13th through the 19th. Keep the pics and vids coming!
Clearly, the '80s was the theme and it looks like fun was had by all. I think we need to start booking our vacation for next year's Carnival now. What's next year's theme? The last float each year announces the theme for the following year. Get ready for Carnival 2017– "Gods & Goddesses". August 12th-19th

It’s NOT a legal thing. It’s
It's NOT a legal thing. It's quite ILLEGAL in fact. You can NOT fly over people. Not to mention you cannot use copyrighted music.
Actually, Steve it is legal.
Actually, Steve it is legal. It's also a more complex process than you assume. I don't get paid to make these videos and the few that i have been paid, the music that I use is licensed. I've said many times before, but this is mostly for fun and my own little form of artistic expression. In regards to the shots filmed with the drone that may appear to fly over people are actually well scouted and planned in advance. The area below the drone is cleared (other than myself or an occasional VO). I also have my sUAV license. Because I make no money on the larger videos like Carnival and The White Party, using other people's music is fine provided credit is given. On the YouTube version of the videos the money from the ads goes to the artist. So what I'm saying here is I do actually know what I'm doing.
That looked like a lot of fun
That looked like a lot of fun. One of these day or years I can visit all these gay historic places.
