She’s battled with fellow Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on boats in Hong Kong and during dinner parties in Provence, and toured the world on The Pretty Mess Tour, but now Erika Jayne is about to tackle her biggest role yet; as murderous Roxie Hart in the iconic Broadway musical Chicago.
Portraying the murderous maven who craves the spotlight may be a bit on the nose for the dance music queen, but she is humbly following in the footsteps of iconic Broadway actresses like Ann Reinking and Bebe Neuwirth in this role. “I’m beyond excited to join the cast of the legendary musical Chicago” Jayne exclusively told People. “Having been a fan of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon’s work, it is an honor and a dream to play Roxie Hart”.
Jayne is not the first Real Housewife to tackle a role in this Broadway juggernaut. Fellow Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Lisa Rinna took on the role of Roxie Hart in 2007, while Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Nene Leakes and Kandi Burrus both portrayed prison matron Mama Morton during previous runs of the show.
