Last week, we shared with you the unfortunate passing of YouTuber Tai Couture.

Tai Couture, real name Tyree Williams, committed suicide after succumbing to his depression. The YouTuber and social media influencer had talked about his depression and suicidal thoughts several times before. From making YouTube videos about the topic to posting about it on Facebook. Unfortunately, that open discussion about the issue did not save Williams from eventually committing suicide anyway.

Now that he has passed on, Tai Couture’s family is trying to grieve and deal with the financial struggles laid before them. The family has announced funeral plans in the view of a home-going celebration that was held last night. That said, they have also shared that they are unable to afford Couture’s funeral. As such, they have started up a GoFundMe page to help with the costs.

As written on the GoFundMe page:

“Tai Couture, Tyree Williams, Universal Stylist – He was known by many names and touched many lives through his talent of styling hair, applying make-up, performing and organizing hair shows. He was a popular You-Tuber, wig creator, and underwear designer. Our handsome talented beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and inspirational voice left this world on October 31, 2019 succumbing to his depression and taking his life. He will be sorely missed. He was loved by all who knew him.  We are asking for your help. We need assistance in making this Home Going Service every single thing that represents who Tyree was and what he would want.  Please give from the heart.  No amount is too great or small. If everyone can give $50.00 or more towards this cause, we know we will meet our goal of $20,000. Although the deadline of Tuesday, November 6th has past, we are still in need of funds.  Donations can be made on this Go-Fund Me page and/or directly to the Mays Funeral Home 1001 S. 4th Camden NJ 08103. His mother, Nicole Tate and his entire family, thanks you in advance for helping us to make Tyree’s Celebration of Life one to remember.”

Again, the family also announced plans for the funeral of Tyree Williams. That part took the shape of a two-part Home-Going Celebration, held yesterday, in YouTuber’s honor.

Location: Tabernacle of Faith COGIC – 115 N. 5th Street – Camden, NJ
