Hannah Hart is Stepping in as the Host of ‘Pride Live’

The television reboot and revival revolution we are living through is getting a new version of a classic, but with a twist. To close out LGBT Pride Month, Food Network host and best-selling author Hannah Hart will host a three-hour variety show called ‘Pride Live’ on the GLAAD YouTube channel.

Hart is best known for her hit web series “My Drunk Kitchen” which jumpstarted her career as an LGBT icon. Her self-help podcast “HANNAHLYZE THIS” discusses “life, love, and the pursuit of happiness in a frank and no bullsh*t manner”. It is no wonder that Hart has been chosen to host this first-of-its-kind telethon for GLAAD. GLAAD is the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization that aims to tackle tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.

Hart says:

There is something exhilarating about being a part of a live moment. As an entertainer who got my start on YouTube, I want the next generation to get to know GLAAD as intimately as I do. I wanted to launch ‘Pride Live,’ to showcase creative queer forces — from both online and off — to deliver an unforgettable show for a cause dear to my heart. I am so thrilled to be partnered with Buzzfeed and INTO to bring this show to life.

Just this weekend the Los Angeles LGBT Center held OUTfluence, an event that celebrated the impact of LGBT social media and YouTube influencers on our community and how their voices can be used as a vessel for change. Check out the list of #OUTfluence here!
