Is Caitlyn Jenner Still ‘Stunning And Brave’?

Can We All Agree We Cannot Disagree With Caitlyn Jenner?

I try my best to have the backs of any and every LGBTQ influencer. When I was born there were next to none. It wasn't until I heard Kathy Griffin talking about her gay friends that I realized I wasn't alone. It's why I still support Griffin to this day, controversy and all.

This brings me to a woman we all know, Caitlyn Jenner. Like her or not, she is by far the biggest representation for the Trans Community in the mainstream public. Not based off facts, but I always proclaim that if my mother knows your name- you've made it! (Sorry Laverne Cox!)

This Spring, there was an uproar when Wendy Williams was hosting the RuPaul's Drag Race…preshow? The LGBTQ Community ripped her to shreds over her comments on Jenner and for kicking out a drag queen from her studio audience.

Editor's Note: The audience member situation was fair! I refer to that particular instance as someone wearing a bridal gown to your wedding. Would you want the attention or are you fine with an background character taking it from you? Exactly.

Piecing this together, it appears that no one can poke fun at Jenner without someone starting a fuss. Recently, Jenner shaded Jimmy Kimmel for his jokes. Now, she's laughing at herself, teasing a recreation of Aerosmith's iconic song, Dude Looks Like A Lady with Steven Tyler.

@iamstevent and I are working on our duet for Dude Looks Like a Lady. One of my favorite songs!

A majority of the people who were worshiping the ground Jenner walks on have turned their backs on her. She's fought for the Republican party, has been naive on LGBTQ issues, and her reputation of fame isn't flattering for some. With her most recent Instagram post, she's once again sparked a riot between her supporters and haters within the LGBTQ Community. I have yet to witness a Transgender person referencing their biological gender as a joke…until now.

Is Jenner untouchable in society? Are we allowed to disagree with her without being criticized? Why is she such a touchy subject, worth of an apology, yet everyone else is fair game?
