It Pays to be Hunky: ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Shatters Box Office Records

Avengers: Endgame snatched everyone’s wigs and wallets this past weekend.

Box Office Mojo reports that the action and adventure flick took in $350 million dollars domestically over the course of only three days. That’s nothing compared to what it made on a worldwide scale: over $1 billion dollars in just its first five days of release.

The final numbers will be released on Monday, April 29, as the $350 million is an estimate for now that will surely improve when all is said and done. That figure is nearly $93 million larger than the previous record set by Avengers: Infinity War ($257.69 million) just last year and a massive 90 percent of the overall weekend market share.

There were many factors that played into why it did so well outside of the anticipation many Marvel fans had ahead of its release. For one, it’s done tremendously from a critics and fans point of view. It currently sits with a 9.1 rating on IMDb and a 96 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes

And, not that it matters (eh), but every guy in this film is beyond gorgeous. Here’s a reminder for those who are blissfully unaware of the hunk-o-meter that is in this movie:
