Karamo Brown returned to Instagram on Thursday, September 5, after the comments he made about fellow Dancing with the Stars competitor Sean Spicer caused him to shut his social media pages down.

The Queer Eye star shared an emotional Instagram post that talked about the aftermath of him saying that Sean, 47, is a “good guy” during an interview with Access Hollywood. Both men will be competing in the upcoming DWTS season that premieres on Monday, September 16.

“So… some of you may know I deleted my other social media pages and took a long break from posting on ig because I been in a bad state of mind,” he began. “My kids/family & I were being threatened by strangers… People who I thought supported & loved me turned their backs on me… saying I was a traitor, a horrible person, delusional and treating me really bad… but as I walk into my first dance rehearsal for @dancingabc No More Tears and No More Holding My Head Low!”

“Your strength, dedication, and resilience inspire me everyday,” his fiance Ian Jordan wrote in the comments section. “I love you.”

Karamo’s Twitter account remains deleted even though he’s active again on Instagram.

“Get a f***ing grip,” author Roxane Gay tweeted at him after he said the “good guy” comment about Trump‘s former press secrerary. “There is no friendship with people who enable fascism.”

The former Real World star blocked many Twitter users who came for him over the Spicer debacle before he ultimately took his page down.
