Over the span of ten years, Torres appeared in adult films for JalifStudio, Treasure Island Media, Dark Alley Media and more.

He announced his retirement in 2016 after he was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma. In a ‘farewell letter’ at the time, he shared with fans that doctors had given him about ten years to live.

Torres added that he was satisfied with his career writing, “I will never stop being Macanao Torres, a character I am very proud of.”

During his time in the adult industry, he was an outspoken advocate regarding transparency by adult studios regarding HIV testing.
