Making it work as a couple when you are in the adult industry isn't always the easiest thing to do, however Jon Galt and Vic Rocco are proof that it can be done.
Both of these men have had years upon years of being in and out of the business, with Jon's career spanning all the way back to the dawn of the millennium. These two found each other in quite the interesting way, and now they only do scenes that feature both of them at the same time albeit a duo… or more.
There have been several famous gay porn couples that have come and gone, with many of them rarely making it in the long run, however Jon and Vic's lifestyle doesn't read as the typical "porn" one as they have been in the game for quite some time and know how to balance their lives with one another both on and off camera.
I spoke with both of them about how they got together, what's it like to perform with one another, and how they are just like the rest of us at the end of the day. Take a look.
Tell me how the two of you first met? Was it love at first sight (or glory hole)?
Ha. No glory hole but it is a good story.
Before I moved to Florida full time I used to have a winter home in South Beach. I was living in Seattle and the weather there in the winter used to kill me slowly, so I would escape to sunny Miami during that time. I would come down mid-January and would end my stay right after Ultra Music Festival each year and go back to Seattle at the beginning of April.
The year I met Dino (Vic), I had finished my work (event manager) for the year early in December and could not go down to Miami right then as my condo in South Beach was rented out until January. Rather than spend two weeks doing nothing in the cold, dark, rainy weather of Seattle I decided to take a trip to Maui for a few weeks before heading to South Beach.
Before I had left a friend of mine heard I was going to Maui and said that I should look up Vic on bigmuscle.com as he thought I would like him and he would like me. In the meantime, I had asked a friend of mine from San Diego to come to Hawaii from part of the time I was there to hang with me.
Well the friend had other ideas than just hanging and was constantly wanting to have sex with me which I was not interested. To take the pressure off me for sex, I contacted Vic. He let me know he was dating somebody but that they would both come over to my hotel room.
From the moment Vic came in we were immediately attracted to each other and the focus of the night for us was simply that: forgetting there were two other people in the room much to their chagrin.
Do each of you have a favorite date or memory with one another that sticks out more than the rest?
It would have to be our second date after that night in the hotel room in Maui. Dino had broken up with the guy he was dating (add homewrecker to my list of achievements) and I was still in Miami. I am huge EDM Music Festival fan and Ultra Music Festival is one I have been going to for many years. I had told Dino about it and asked if he wanted to come to Miami and go with me. He said “yes” and flew down shortly after. It was a perfect weekend. We both did an obstacle “mud” run together that weekend and the festival. What made it special was sharing my love for trance music and festival “rave” culture with him and him taking to it so enthusiastically. We have been to pretty much every big EDM Music Festival together since then!
Your intimacy is shown not only on your social media but on camera as well, as the two of you often perform in scenes with one another. What was the decision-making process like when it came to working in the industry together?
Well I have been in the industry for many years and learned that Vic had done some work for Colt and been photographed by many famous erotic art photographers. I was cycling down my adventures in porn and Vic was wanting to do more. We agreed that if we were to do it then we would only do it if we can work together. We both have successful careers outside of that industry so for us the work is just for the fun of it.
You have been in and out of the porn world for almost two decades now. What are your thoughts on it as it has evolved?
I was just having this conversation with Francois Sagat on Instagram the other day. We were talking about how the “Golden Age of Porn” is gone. With so many outlets to get porn (Only Fans, Tumblr, Twitter, free streaming web sites, etc.) it seems anyone can be in porn today. Where in the past there were a handful of studios with their exclusive “stars” whose names you knew (Francois Sagat, Alex Collack, Jason Brand, Ray Dragon, etc.) today the trend is to use more everyday models than keeping it to a stable of exclusive stars.
The two of you also primarily do barebacking scenes, which is becoming almost the norm in the industry. Do you think that is here to stay, and do you find that it should be controversial in the world of pRep that we live in today?
I think pRep has opened the doors to bareback sex not being such a forbidden/taboo thing in the porn industry. It is rare these days you have someone in real life asking to use a condom and rise of bareback porn reflects that.
Is this something you both plan on sticking around in for a while?
Well I had decided to get out of porn back in January. Like you said, I have been in the industry for over a decade so at some point you have to hang up that hat. Plus, the “politics” of the industry and oversensitivity to things I would say on Twitter made me think it’s time to get out. However, when Raw Fuck Club offered to have me and Vic in a upcoming scene with 10 super hot and sexy guys I had to pull a Cher and do a comeback video.
Everyone wants to know the secret on how to make love work. Can each of you explain how you make it work with your partner and what advice you would give to anyone who is looking for what you both have?
I think the one thing that makes us work is we always have fun together. We were on the January Atlantis Cruise and several people would come up to us saying they enjoy seeing us out because we look like we are always having fun. Plus, Vic loves coming up with interesting costumes for us to wear, with our most recent success being Mario and Luigi.
The other part is to communicate with each other. If you don’t communicate eventually one person tracks in a different direction than the other person and without communicating you both can be on separate roads. By the time you discover this it is too late to get back on the same one. You should be able to talk about anything to the one you love the most.
Moving forward, what are your plans not only with each other but in your professional lives as well, anything big coming up?
Nothing major coming up professionally. Look out for the 10-person scene with Seth Santoro coming out soon from RFC. As for our personal lives we are pretty low key (BORING) when we are at home. Family time consists of playing with our dog, Makena, lots of gym time, grilling meat and watching TV. We don’t go out much locally but when we do it is usually to see a big name trance DJ in Miami. There are a couple of fun nights coming up at Club Space and Treehouse. We do have some huge and amazing trips coming up including the mecca of all EDM Music Festivals which is Tomorrowland in Belgium. We are doing both weekends of that festival with a rest in Mykonos in between.
