I feel like I’m one of the few people from the States will knows and adores Cheryl (née Tweedy). I discovered Girls Aloud two or three years ago which led to an all-out binge of their music as well as Cheryl’s solo stuff and it baffles me that she never made it big over here.

That could change given the news that just broke about her being a guest judge on the upcoming debut season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. She’s the first name to be revealed for the spinoff series that features RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Paul O’Grady as mainstays and then Alan Carr and Graham Norton on rotation.

“She jumped at the chance and recently visited the set to film as a guest judge,” a source told The Sun.

Queens for Drag Race UK reportedly lip synced to her 2012 number one single “Call My Name.” Good choice, but I would’ve preferred something different like “Fight For This Love” or “Promise This”.

Drag Race UK is set to premiere later this year on BBC. Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is almost at its halfway point on VH1, with the highly anticipated Snatch Game episode airing this Thursday, April 18.
