Coulter & Brzezinski – Which One Chose Her Words & Which One Slipped?

We didn't realize that "butt boy" was an acceptable term to be used in political commentary.  Oh wait, it's not. Mika Brzezinski, co-anchor of 'The Morning Joe" issued an apology for using the mentioned phrase to describe Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

She attempted to apologize shortly after she said it, tweeting, “Totally agree with you -SUPER BAD choice of words .. I should have said “water boy.”

The comment was live on air and were regarding Pompeo defending the Saudi crown prince after the killing of American journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

We've been called worse, but from someone that should know better, but this did set of our insensitivity radar a little.  And she really didn't call "us" anything. It was stating that Pompeo was a subservient man that was on the receiving end of anal sex. We've heard it all before, someone degrading another by hinting they are gay, calling everything odd queer.

Once she had the camera lens upon her again the next day, Brzezinski opened the program with an apology:

I apologize to everyone, especially the LGBTQ community, and to my colleagues for using it.

Do we accept her apology? Sure.  It sounds like she was sincere. This was a case where someone just wasn't thinking about the correct terms, derogatory terms and the apology was quick. But it was still a little surprising to hear on MSNBC.

Over at FOX and on 'The Ingraham Angle,' Ann Coulter chose her words a little more pointedly.

In one of her anti-Democratic Party monologues, Coulter stated that the Democrats and their party were going to fall apart, mainly because, even though they are all against the white man, they still all hare each other.

Her statements were very label heavy and even created some new ones we have not heard of before.

"… you have the Muslims and the Jews and the various exotic sexual groups and the Black church ladies with the college queers"

Okay,  after this, we definitely accept Brzezinski's apology and we still scratch our heads as to why people are paying Coulter to be in front of a camera.

  1. What did Ann Coulter say that

What did Ann Coulter say that was wrong? Queer is a term many gay people use to describe themselves. Was “exotic sexual groups” offensive? Not really. Mika’s comment was worst, and her apology was forced. She equates gay bottoming as an insult. Interestingly enough it’s an insult because it’s deemed feminine, which in turn is sexist. You never hear top being used as an insult.
