Did Jason Mraz Just Come Out?

Dear You,

Thank You.

You have inspired me.
Re-wired me.
You showed me what strength is.
You demonstrated courage over and over again.
You risked so much for love.
You never compromised your expression
Even when
Your rights and freedoms were being compromised.
You stood up for me.
You stood up for the world.
And now the world is better because of you.
We still have a long way to go
But know
I am bi your side.
All ways.

Jason Mraz

It’s a lovely, touching poem… and those last lines have some of us wondering—did Jason Mraz just come out? Is Jason Mraz bi?

In 2005, the musician told now-defunct Genre:

"I have a bisexually open mind, but I have never been in a sexual relationship with a man. If the right one came along, then sure."

Now 40, Mraz married a woman, Christina Carano, in 2015. He was previously engaged [to a woman] in 2010 for about six months before the two called it quits.

Mraz has won two Grammys and sold seven million albums. Last fall, he made his Broadway debut in the hit musical Waitress, starring in a 10-week run.
