Fans left flowers, notes and more at his home in England on the 2-year anniversary of his sudden death Tuesday. He passed away on Christmas Day 2016 at the age of 53.

Notes included touching words like “Forever loved and forever remembered” as well as several photos of the late singer right outside his doorstep. Radar Online has the photos which can be viewed here.

George’s death came as a shock to millions of his fans and followers. He died in bed at his home across the pond in Goring-on-Thames. His partner at the time, Fadi Fawaz, was the one to discover him dead.

"I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don't know what happened yet,” Fawaz said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph. “Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I."

His cause of death took three months to determine, where a coroner revealed on March 7th, 2017 that he passed from natural causes as the result of an enlarged heart with myocarditis and a fatty liver.

George became one of the biggest stars in the world in the early 80’s due to him being part of the duo Wham! He later parlayed that success with a massive solo career, where he sold over 100 million copies worldwide and scored countless number one singles on the Billboard charts including “Father Figure” and “Faith.”

There is some potential good news for his fans as word got out back in September about George’s unreleased music being released. As if that wasn’t enough, there has also been reports about some never-heard-before duets with some of the biggest stars in music including Elton John and the late Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.
