Christian Alarid, a 24-year old Staff Sargent in the Air Force had the proposal down pat with the assistance of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. He surprised his boyfriend, Shayne Barnes, 27, with he marriage proposal during a mock photo shoot. Barnes himself had just completed his service in the US Marine Corps, but now is a student at Hawaii Pacific University. That proposal would then transform their world into a whirlwind day, ending in a picturesque seaside wedding.
