If you're not excited about the game today like I am, there's always the commercials and the other entertainment. Jennifer Lopez kicked of the festivities last night at the DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night concert in Minneapolis, where she raised money for Hurricane Maria victims in Puerto Rico, celebrated an anniversary with beau Alex Rodriguez, and covered Prince songs.
She changed at least seven times during the nearly two-hour concert: She started in a body suit and then switched to a loose jersey that read "J LO" and the No. 13 — one of the many odes to A-Rod.
When she performed her new dance single "Us," released on Friday, she said worked on the song a year ago — around the time she started dating the former New York Yankee player. Lopez also used a baseball bat as a prop during "Jenny from the Block." – usatoday.com
Since she was in Minneapolis she had to cover a copule of Prince songshe sang a medley of Prince songs, two of which were "When Doves Cry" and "Darling Nikki." Aretha Franklin's "Respect" was also sung.
AT&T said it would match charitable contributions up to $200K to the Hispanic Federation for the Hurricane Maria relief and recovery effort in Puerto Rico, and it would give a $1 donation to the Hispanic Federation for every tweet using the hashtag #JLoNOW.
Is J Lo's new song the first entry for song of the summer? Have a listen to 'Us', Jennifer Lopez's new song that's Skrillex and Poo Bear-Produced.
And we know the 48 year old performer still has it. She didn't have to, but she did prove that the moves are still there with this Pre-Super Bowl Dance Medley
We can't wait for the new work. Her last album A.K.A. came out in 2014. But it looks like J.Lo is gearing up to drop her ninth studio effort very soon.
