But THEN, just last week, McHale shared yet another photo on Instagram with fellow actor Austin McKenzie with caption #mycoachella and the two snuggled up. Again, he clued us into a little more about his life and his relationship with McKenzie.

Still, after these two major photos on social media, McHale hadn’t shared anything else about his sexuality or his personal life. Until now—

With the release of Ariana Grande’s new No Tears Left to Cry, McHale was so compelled to take to Twitter to show just how it made him feel.

McHale Tweeted:

#NoTearsLeftToCry is gayer than me and I ACCEPT. Ty @ArianaGrande

So those of you who have been thirsty to know everything about McHale’s life, there you have it—straight (or gay) from Kevin McHale’s tweets. I guess Ariana Grande will do that to you.

Now you can all live by some of the lyrics in Ariana’s new song:

Coming out

Even when it’s raining down

Can’t stop now

Can’t stop so shut your mouth
