For those who haven’t had enough RuPaul’s Drag Race a new series following some of the greatest Ru girls ever will be hitting World of Wonder on June 6th! Werq the World, a new docu-series, will follow drag royalty Alyssa Edwards, Shangela, Valentina, Latrice Royale, Sharon Needles, Kim Chi, Detox, Violet Chachki, Aquaria, and Kennedy Davenport, as they snatch audience wigs and untuck behind-the-scenes on the world tour of the same name.
Werq the World is an up-close-and personal look at the tour life of 10 of the most iconic Drag Race queens as they embark on a 13-country world tour. You will see the glitz, the glamour, and the gag-worthy performances, but also get to know the queens on a new level. Each will share their personal journey and peel back new layers of what it is like to be a touring drag queen with fandom. Think Untucked, but bigger and badder!
The 10-episode docu-series is directed by Jasper Rischen and WOW’s Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey are executive producers.
The show premieres on WOW Presents Plus on Thursday, June 6th at 5pm PST, just in time to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride month and to fill your Drag Race cravings. Each Thursday a new episode will be available until August 8th.
