See Which LGBTers Are Giving Adele Competition For The 2016 Brit Awards

Who can try and beat the juggernaut that is Adele?  She steam rolled into 5, 6, 7 million homes faster than anyone in history.  Singles from her hit "25" record are being played everywhere 24/7.  Finally, after 10 weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list, "Hello"  was dethroned by Justin Bieber's "Sorry."

With Adele selling so many albums / singles / concert tickets, who out there can compare? Apparently a nice little trio can give her a run for the money, or in this case a run for the awards.  The 2016 Brit Awards were just announced and there's one group that is neck and neck with her when it comes to nominations.

Adele is tied at 4 nominations with Years & Years, headed by gay singer Olly Alexander, for the most nominations for the 2016 Brit Awards.  Among its nominations, the pop group is up for British group, British breakthrough act, British single, and British best video.  The latter two categories will find Years & Years competing directly with Adele, while Adele does not compete with the trio in her other two nominated categories, British female solo artist, British Album of the year.  For the full list, go over to brits.co.uk .

Jess Glynne (another LGBT supporter and dabbler) is also nominated in three categories, British female sol act, Brisish breakthrough artist, and British single "Hold My Hand."  her big break was from her hit "Rather Be."  If you don't know "Hold My Hand," it will be in your head for days after listening below.  I love both songs so here they are.

Tell me, in this next video for "Hold My Hand" if the desert video shoot location doesn't look familiar.  Britney's "Work Bitch?"

Sam Smith is nominated in the category British best video for his James Bond track "Writing’s On The Wall."

Will Adele be victorious in all 4 of her categories?

How will Jess and Years & Years and Sam do?

The Brit Awards will be broadcast at London’s O2 on ITV on 25 February, hosted by Ant & Dec.

All this rainbow / LGBT stuff aside, these are all amazing artists.  We thank you all for sharing your talent.   May the best vocals win!
