Several gay men have accused a German-born Turkish pop star of blackmailing them over their secret relationships.

According to the Hurriyet Daily News, more than 50 men have come forward to say that 28-year-old singer Bulut Duman has wronged them.

Each one of the men say that they started talking to Duman on gay dating websites. After talking to the singer more, he allegedly became hostile with each one of them. Duman allegedly started to demand money through fraud or blackmail with footage of their sexual acts.

One policeman from Istanbul filed a criminal complaint that said Duman took 80,000 Turkish Liras (aprox. 14,604 USD) from him. Also, a businessman said that Duman created a fake Facebook account of him and shared their intimate photos with business associates when he wouldn’t pay the singer. This led to the business man having to resign.

After all of these allegations, Duman is knee-deep in several court cases. In one instance, he was convicted of fraud and sentenced to jail. Then in another case, Duman was acquitted. Even with that, Duman is still going through several other legal battles.

Despite all of this, Duman pleaded not guilty when talking to the Hurriyet Daily News.

“Most of the complainants know each other. They are the ones who blackmailed me. I am not a member of any gay dating websites. The allegations against me are ugly. I am a pedagogical expert and I have filed countersuits,” he said.

Again, the court cases continue.
