‘Relationship Deal Breakers’ – Did Your Top No No’s Make The List?

I met a guy last Thursday night, but I've already ruled him out for being a significant other.  There were just one too many deal breakers present.  What are those deal breakers?  Is the fact that he smokes cigarettes enough to cancel him out? What about his appearance?  And then there is of course the sex ot the quality of the act.

You have your own hot buttons, boxes to check, to let someone into your life.  How do those relate to others?

A series of studies was done to see what both men and women may consider deal breakers.

In one of those studies, the researchers asked a nationally representative sample of 5,541 single Americans to reveal which in a list of 17 things would be a "deal breaker" when considering a "committed relationship" with someone. – businessinsider.com

Here is a graph showing the study results. There was no description of the participants to notify us if they were gay or straight.

Men were more likely than women to say "having kids, living too far away, talks too much, and a low sex drive" were deal breakers, while women were more likely to say "lacking self-confidence, being too lazy, being too needy, and engaging too often in television/playing video games" were deal breakers.

Respondents ranged in age from 21 to 76; older people tended to have more deal breakers than younger ones, and women tended to have more deal breakers than men. – businessinsider.com

I am surprised smoking or drug use wasn't on the list.  Should it have been?

Do these 17 align with your "just say no" categories?

Are there other deal breakers that should be on the list?
