Sad news today for lovers of figure skating. RT has reported that figure skater Denis Ten has died after a knife attack in Kazakhstan.
The 25-year-old athlete who took home Olympic bronze in Sochi in 2014 was the victim of a robbery in the city of Almaty. The site reports that two unknown men attempted to steal the mirrors from his car and when he refused he was stabbed. Ten was found with wounds and taken to the hospital, but unfortunately he did not make it after surgery.

Denis Yurevich Ten spotted two unknown men who tried to steal mirrors from his car. In a brawl which took place at the scene Ten was wounded with a knife. The incident is being investigated by police, all members of Almaty’s department of internal affairs are involved in the operation aimed at identifying and detaining the criminals.
