“RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 2” Gets A Greenlight At The BBC

Does this mean we could be getting a “Frock Destroyers Part 2”?

It was announced yesterday (courtesy of BBC Three and World Of Wonder) that RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, the spin off of the ultra successful American sister version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has received a green light for Season 2. The premiere date is aimed to be some time in 2020.

The network is currently accepting applications for Season 2, and you can apply here to be part of the Season 2 cast. From Andrew Garfield to fashion icon Dame Twiggy to former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, Drag Race UK has managed to draw huge names to join the judges panel, along with drawing big viewership numbers.

“I want to thank the BBC and all our fans for their overwhelming support of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,” Emmy-winning host and producer RuPaul said of the renewal in a statement. “This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent and I want to see more! Here’s to another season of love, laughter and light!”

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK airs new episodes in the U.S. Thursdays at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT on the WOW Presents Plus subscription streaming network, with encore presentations following eight days later on Fridays at 8 p.m. on Logo.
