Takei vs. Trump. Is It Even A Fair Fight? This Time It’s Over Trump’s Proposed Muslim Ban.

We cannot respect George Takei more than we do now.  He has fought for the LGBT community against many villains in the past, speaking the truth where lies were heard, and calling out ignorance when it drowns out common sense.

What I like about George, excuse, me, Mr. Takei, is that he doesn't push his beliefs onto people like so many social commentators do.  He speaks his mind and everything sounds right.  Can we all live in your world George?  No, seriously, we want to live in your world.  It's so much better than the crap we have to wade through out here to exist.

Thank you George for representing the LGBT community

Thank you George for representing intelligent Americans.

Here is Mr. Takei's most recent video from MSNBC where he educated us on how wrong Donald Trump is once again, this time on banning Muslims from entering our nation.

I'll leave you with this.  It's a quote I used when I taught a course in Social Problems.

Martin Niemöller: "First they came for the Socialists…"

Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
