LGBTQ community and our supporters rejoice! Pride month has officially began.

Travel is a key part of Pride month as many of us will be going to several different cities across the country to celebrate who we are as both as an individual and a community.

Some of the biggest celebrations happening domestically include World Pride, which takes place at the end of the month in my hometown of New York City.

According to a recent survey from Orbitz, 42 percent of LGBTQ travelers plan to travel more than 50 miles to attend a Pride celebration this year. That’s a lot of partying henny!

Whether you’re heading to D.C, Los Angeles, or another popular U.S. city, now is the time to book to ensure you can don those rainbow shades on a parade route.

One of our longest supporters is going above and beyond to ensure that we all have a fabulous traveling experience over the next several weeks.

Orbitz, which has joined the fight for equality since it was founded in 2001, has partnered with fellow Expedia Group brand Vrbo on a 2019 Pride Travel Guide where travelers can browse parade routes, up-and-coming Pride hot spots, travels tips, and find places to stay.

The guide is nothing short of stellar. You can browse some of the most gorgeous vacation homes and hotels that will suit all your Pride needs from the minute you walk inside.

Act fast though! Orbitz’s survey also found that nearly 80 percent of LGBTQ travelers plan to attend this year’s Pride events with a group, meaning prime-parade accommodations will go quickly.

Orbitz offers a selection of chic IGLTA certified hotels near the action of parade festivities. Or for large groups, a vacation home like those you can book on Vrbo, offer space to spread out and relax.
