A passenger decided to take matters and himself into his own hands Monday on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles. Reports say the man was touching himself inappropriately, pacing the aisle, and then tried to open the exit door while the plane was in flight.
"Passengers reportedly praised Virgin America staff for their handling of the incident." Luckily, there were a couple of off duty Boston Police Officers on board to assist.
I am not sure what was worse, having a passenger masturbating on the plane and trying to open the door or landing in Omaha, Nebraska. Of course the passenger did a lot more than try to enjoy his own company. Trying to open the door definitely led to the emergency landing. The passenger was taken to a local hospital, but the police report noted he already had a hospital bracelet on even before he was detained.
I recall on one of my flights to Los Angeles, the young man that sat next to me had to hold on to his "baggage" for the entire flight. I thought it would be rude to disturb him or report him, so a pic was taken instead.
