After Two Deaths In His West Hollywood Home, Ed Buck’s Revolving Door Still Turns
WeHoVille is claiming there’s still a revolving door of young, African-American men visiting Edward Buck’s West Hollywood apartment. Why should our community be concerned about this?
Edward Buck? Buck is a big Democratic donor to the likes of Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, and Ted Lieu (who has donated almost $20K of Buck’s donations to African-American and LGBTQ charities). He’s also been featured in the media because two African-American men, Gemmel Moore and Timothy Dean, were found dead in his home with drug overdoses. Moore and Dean were later identified as sex workers and used crystal meth in Buck’s home. Police would eventually find Moore’s journal detailing his personal drug use. He blamed Buck for his addiction to drugs and accused the WeHo resident of injecting him with meth. Moore predicted his drug use and experiences with Buck would lead to his death. Buck has not been charged in either case.
According to WeHoVille, Judge Cormac McCarney has rejected motions by Buck’s attorneys to dismiss a civil suit against him for the death of Moore. The suit has been filed by Moore’s mother, LaTisha Nixon and has garnered waves of online support. The ruling to reject the dismissal comes as a victory to Nixon, who is seeking damages against Buck for wrongful death of her late son, sexual battery, drug dealer liability, premises liability, negligence per se, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and hate violence. The lawsuit also touches on Buck being a human trafficker, as he connected with Moore online and paid for his plane ticket from Texas to Los Angeles to engage in sex.
This past week, Jasmyne Cannick, an activist and perhaps the most dedicated advocate against Buck, took to Twitter after posting a photograph of another man entering Buck’s apartment. Six days later, she reports the man was removed from Buck’s home after sheriffs were called. Check out her tweet below:
Remember that photo I tweeted last week of a young Black man entering Ed Buck's house? Well, yesterday afternoon around 2:52p Buck called the sheriff's on him and had him removed from his apartment. Classic Ed Buck. But there's more. pic.twitter.com/Qpo1qqoF5l

Cannick believes the police are mishandling this case and need to investigate into Buck much further.
We’ll keep you posted on this story as it continues to unfold. Also… what the heck is on Buck’s door?! Those decorations already are giving me the chills…
UPDATE: September 18, 2019
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — Prominent Democratic donor and LGBTQ+ political activist Ed Buck was charged Tuesday with allegedly running a drug den out of his West Hollywood apartment and providing methamphetamine to a 37-year-old man who suffered an overdose last week, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said.
