The show’s official Twitter account announced the exciting news on Tuesday, October 15. It also came with a 45 second trailer of what’s to come for Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally).
A big shocker that is seen throughout the clip is that Grace is pregnant. We don’t know who the father is, although it may have been that guy Marcus (Reid Scott) who she traveled to Europe with on the last season finale.
It looks as if her pregnancy is going to be a focal point as the show wraps up. Grace was also pregnant in the final season of the original series run with Leo’s (Harry Connick Jr) baby. That storyline, along with all others, turned out to be a dream that Karen had which allowed the reboot to start fresh when it returned in 2017.
Debra, 52, and Sean, 49, announced the news in their own unique way. The Emmy winner star posted a ton of glamorous selfies on Instagram with the caption “We’re BAAAAAAAAAACKKKK!! Grace, Season 3. Countdown to premiere….#nextthursday.”
Sean shared a group shot of the fabulous foursome on his own page. “*** BREAKING NEWS ***
Christmas comes early for our “W&G” fans. NBC will begin airing the final season of the reboot starting next Thursday, October 24th at 9:30pm,” he wrote.
Will & Grace debuted in the fall of 1998 and became not only a major success but a groundbreaking series for the LGBTQ community. It is one of the rare shows (along with The Golden Girls) where all of its principle stars took home an Emmy award. They never, however, won a single Golden Globe honor.
The show ended after eight season in 2006 and was rebooted over a decade later in 2017. Will & Grace has had legendary guest performers appear on the series in both runs including Jennifer Lopez, Cher, Matt Damon and the late Debbie Reynolds.
Guest stars for the reboot’s final season include decorated Olympian Gus Kenworthy and pop superstar Demi Lovato.
