My boyfriend keeps going on and on about wanting to get cheek implants. I don’t think he needs them, and frankly I think he is being unrealistic about the outcome and effects. Isn’t he just going to look like he had two humps dropped onto his face? Can they move?!

Dr. Lisa Sterman has been writing prescriptions for Truvada—a little blue pill that packs the punch of two anti-HIV medications, emtricitabine and tenofovir—to her patients, 80 percent of whom are gay men, for years.
But not all of her patients getting pre- scriptions for the antiretrovirals are, in fact, HIV positive. Nearly a dozen are high-risk HIV-negative individuals taking the drug for its preventive qualities.
Sterman, a physician, researcher and board member of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, is one of a growing number in the medical field using Truvada as a way to prevent high-risk patients from contracting HIV.
From serodiscordant couples—couples where one partner is HIV negative and the other HIV positive—to at-risk... FULL STORY

Are there substantial benefits to using KT Tape over traditional braces? I’ve got run- ner’s knees, and some of my marathon friends have begun taping their legs up, but before I invest, I just wanted to get an expert’s opinion.

My best friend is HIV positive and has been for three years. He’s dating a guy who is not, and because my friend is undetectable, he says they’re okay with having unprotected sex. The idea makes me very uncomfortable, but is it my place to say anything? Some studies support the idea, right?

I’m tired of sitting around saying I’m going to change my life. I’m ready to do something! I’m 37 years old, average height (5’9”) and slightly above av- erage weight. I’m pushing that 200-, 210-pound range and just fed up. I used to be fit and physically active, but work and life have slowed me down and deterred me from living healthy. It’s been a good five years since I’ve really been diligent in the gym—where and how do I even start? I feel like my eating habits are all off (fast food is fast and convenient, after all), and I tire easily. But I’m just sick of seeing that man staring back at me in the mirror right now. Is it too late to make lasting change?

Is coconut water actually beneficial in aiding recovery after a workout? It seems like it has suddenly become the miracle health craze of the mo- ment, but is it too good to be true?
