80’s Icon Debbie Gibson Returns To The Dance Floor With “Girls Night Out”

Known for her ultra sweet 80’s pop tracks and endlessly fragrant Electric Youth perfume, Debbie Gibson has cemented her place in the annals of pop music history forever. Luckily for us, Gibson has decided to add dance music queen to her resume and has enlisted a Grammy winning remixer to help her do so.

While this is not Gibson’s first turn on the dance floor (her single “Only Words” was remixed by the legendary Junior Vasquez”), when Gibson decided to make her return to the world of dance clubs, she partnered up with remixer/dj/producer and Grammy nominee Tracy Young to ensure her return to the dance floor was a smash.

After diving into the remix package for “Girls Night Out”, it’s quickly apparent that Gibson and Young are a virtual dream team. The vocals on the track are haunting and ethereal, and from the first few bars, Gibson’s signature voice is instantly identifiable to the most feverish of 80’s music fans. The chorus is where this newly minted dance floor queen truly shines though, crafting a quintessential hands in the air moment.

“Girls Night Out” is a strong outing from this latest dance musical duo, and in the more than capable hands of Young, Gibson is able to seamlessly move from the covers of Teen Beat and Bop to dance floors all over America.
