This past weekend, Rob Kearney won the Arnold Pro Strongman Championship co-founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Australia. But that was only the second happiest day of his life since he and his partner Joey Aleixo. HuffPost reports that Kearney won the event on Saturday which earned him entry into the 2020 championship.
The very next day, Kearney and Aleixo tied the night at Half Moon Beach near Melbourne. They wore matching outfits to commemorate the occasion. In late 2017, Australia voted YES to make marriage equality the law of the land and just 30 days later, gay marriages started thriving around the nation.
Schwarzenegger spent time with the couple during the weekend of their nuptials and was one of the few people who knew that they had much to celebrate.
I think this is a first: winning the @arnoldsports Strongman and getting married in the same weekend. Congratulations guys. I was honored to celebrate with you. pic.twitter.com/hrj2ruxxlY

Kearney came out as gay to the world of bodybuilding in 2014 and shortly after announced his relationship with Aleixo, who is also an athlete.
Congratulations to the World’s Gayest Strongman and his new husband!
