World’s Gayest Strongman Marries Longtime Partner

This past weekend, Rob Kearney won the Arnold Pro Strongman Championship co-founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Australia. But that was only the second happiest day of his life since he and his partner Joey Aleixo. HuffPost reports that Kearney won the event on Saturday which earned him entry into the 2020 championship.

The very next day, Kearney and Aleixo tied the night at Half Moon Beach near Melbourne. They wore matching outfits to commemorate the occasion. In late 2017, Australia voted YES to make marriage equality the law of the land and just 30 days later, gay marriages started thriving around the nation.

The best day of my life, the day I married my best friend @worlds_gayest_strongman 💙. Words cannot describe how amazing this day was, and how perfect everything fell into place. Joey, you are my heart and soul and I am so lucky to be able to call you my husband forever!..This day wouldn’t have been possible without the support of @de.videofilms who recorded our special day, captured our love and created this amazing vision on film for us to remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much for everything! ..Also, a huge thank you to our celebrant @clairepatersoncelebrant without your guidance we wouldn’t have been able to have this amazing day. Thank you so much for our kind and loving words during our ceremony and for helping this whole day come alive with love. You will forever be in our debt 💕

Schwarzenegger spent time with the couple during the weekend of their nuptials and was one of the few people who knew that they had much to celebrate.

Kearney came out as gay to the world of bodybuilding in 2014 and shortly after announced his relationship with Aleixo, who is also an athlete.

Congratulations to the World’s Gayest Strongman and his new husband!
