With many states either banning the dangerous practice of conversion therapy outright or pushing to do so, seeing both sides of this polarizing topic come together is bound to be both interesting and shocking conversation.
That is exactly what Logo has done, in a special airing February 20th on Logo’s YouTube channel. In an exclusive video interview, Logo brings Garrard Conley—Boy Erased author and conversion therapy survivor—and McKrae Game—a former conversion therapy leader who came out as gay—face to face for the first time. Approaching the discredited practice from their distinct and opposite experiences, the two men discuss Game’s history as a “founder of one of the largest conversion therapy programs in the nation, his responsibility to those that he has harmed, and his future as an openly gay man carrying an abhorrent and shocking history”.
Conley gained national prominence following the publication of Boy Erased, and the subsequent film which saw the film get several Golden Globe nominations.
You can watch Garrard Conley (author of “Boy Erased”), McKrae Game (former leader of Hope for Wholeness, one of the most prominent conversion therapy programs in the United States) speak face to face live on February 20th, 2020 on Logo’s YouTube Channel
