Trans Woman Wins Lottery & Won’t Share With Her Children!
Did Karma Come For The Kids?!
I’ve been following this next story and have been seeking out more over the last few days. Unfortunately, this is the best I can do. Have you heard of the story where Transgender woman, Melissa Ede, won a freakin’ $5.4 Million lottery?!
According to The Sun UK, Ede, 57, will be spend her winnings by purchasing a luxury sportscar, a new home, having a dream wedding with her 37-year-old girlfriend, and giving back to those who helped her replace her rotting teeth. There are four people who she will be turning a blind eye too: Her four biological children, ages 19-39. Why? Well, these children have dismissed Ede after she transitioned from their father, Les, into Melissa. Ede told The Sun UK:
“I know we should all love our children unconditionally but they cut me out of their lives. They weren’t there during my hardest times and rejected me. I still love them but I don’t want false love off them because I’ve got money now. The people who have stood by me through thick and thin — it’s payback time for them.”
Ede goes on to tell that her children have disowned her and changed their last names to remove any association. Ede’s late parents also cut ties with her as well before their passing. Ede, who according to her Twitter dubs herself a Reality Television star, seems to enjoy life in front of the camera; she has a YouTube Channel, has appeared on Court shows, is being offered talent show appearances, and wants to move forward with being an author and creating a fashion line. With over $5 Million in her bank…there is seemingly nothing that Ede will be able to do in the next steps ahead.
While I am SO jealous of Ede’s winnings and her new, fabulous life. I cannot help but wonder, after her children disowned her, does she really believe that money would send them back into her arms? Don’t get me wrong, I know not everyone has a good heart and crumbles at the sight of green, but…something tells me that she shouldn’t be claiming she isn’t giving any money to her children. In my, possibly naïve, mind, I’d believe that they still wouldn’t want to be associated with her…even if she was a multimillionaire…because she is Transgender.

First, if we are talking about adult children, earning what you have is more of a life lesson than being given a slice of a lottery prize, so keep the winnings especially if they disowned you. Would we be having this discussion if it was a straight person and the kids never visited?
If the kids are younger, I agree a bit with the first poster. Transitioning is very difficult for children. This will change in time. Not that long ago having a gay parent was difficult for a child. As a teacher I see it all the time and it's hardly an issue, but it still an issue for transgender parents.

It don't matter what age the kids were i have seen first hand how a young person can a just to a change like that.I think if it was me i would make sure they didn't get a penny at all.
Who cares what her stupid
Who cares what her stupid kids think? Let’s wish her every happiness instead. Or do you think the whole point of life is having kids?
How old was Ede at the time
How old was Ede at the time of transition? If the kids were under 18, it's about them, not her. If they were older, well they get what they deserve.
